Brivo provides centralized management for doors, users, schedules, credentials, and activity without requiring an onsite access-control server.
Brivo requires an active subscription
Brivo access control is a cloud-managed service. Each system requires appropriate Brivo licensing and an active subscription for the selected doors, credentials, features, and integrations. Equipment purchases alone do not provide ongoing cloud service. Avenger Security can help establish a new account, review an existing subscription, or transfer service from another Brivo provider.
Subscription pricing and capabilities depend on door count, credential options, video, visitor management, cellular connectivity, and other selected services. We prepare a project-specific quote so the hardware and recurring service match the actual property.

Brivo controllers for different project sizes
ACS300
The ACS300 is commonly used for smaller openings and two-door applications. It supports Ethernet or Wi-Fi connectivity and can be a practical fit for a single entrance, tenant suite, remote building, or small expansion.
ACS6000 and modular systems
The ACS6000 family supports larger and expandable systems. Modular door boards can serve multi-door buildings and campuses while keeping administration in the Brivo cloud. Final capacity, power, enclosure, battery, communication, and board selection are engineered for the project.
Older Brivo systems can often be modernized while retaining compatible field wiring, readers, locks, and door contacts. Existing Wiegand readers may be reusable after testing, although OSDP readers are generally preferred for new work because they support supervised, bidirectional reader communication when correctly designed and configured.
Mobile, card, fob, and PIN credentials
Credential choice should fit the users and the risk. Physical cards and fobs remain useful for many properties. Supported mobile credentials can simplify issuance and revocation for employees, residents, tenants, and contractors. Keypad PINs may be appropriate for selected workflows but should not become permanent shared codes that cannot be tied to an individual.

Door hardware is part of the system
Brivo authorizes entry, but the physical opening must close, latch, lock, and permit required egress. We inspect the door, frame, hinges, closer, lock, exit device, accessibility, power, and cable path before recommending electronics.
Where appropriate, we prefer fail-secure electric strikes, electrified locksets, or motorized latch retraction. Magnetic locks and other special locking arrangements are not our routine default and require additional release logic and code review. Fire-rated openings, delayed egress, accessible operation, fire alarm interfaces, and emergency responder access must be coordinated with the adopted codes and authority having jurisdiction.
Door-position switches provide the information needed for forced-open and held-open events. Request-to-exit devices can help the software recognize normal egress, but they are not the sole method of unlocking an opening where free mechanical egress is required.

Features depend on compatible equipment, licensing, networking, configuration, and the selected service plan. Remote unlocking, video review, monitoring, response, and dispatch are not included unless they are specifically contracted and documented.
New installations, upgrades, and provider transfers
Avenger Security can design a new Brivo system, add doors to an existing account, replace legacy controllers, correct door hardware problems, or help move provider administration to our team. A transfer does not automatically correct failed locks, wiring, power supplies, network problems, or outdated readers, so we inspect the installed system before finalizing the scope.
