New-client consultation: New clients considering a new fire alarm or monitoring service receive an on-site visit and up to one hour of consultation at no cost. Troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs and other technical service on an existing system are billable at standard service rates.

Fire alarm monitoring
Professional monitoring connects the protected premises to a supervising station that receives and processes programmed alarm, supervisory, trouble and restoration signals. The account’s approved instructions determine notification and dispatch procedures.
Standard commercial fire alarm monitoring is approximately $70–$75 per month, depending on the communicator and account requirements. First and last month may be collected at activation. Equipment, installation, permits, inspections and repairs are separate unless included in a written proposal.
A qualifying Napco StarLink Fire dual-path communicator may be included with an eligible two-year monitoring arrangement. Compatibility, installation scope, permitting and AHJ requirements must be confirmed before activation.
Repair before unnecessary replacement
A failed inspection or panel trouble does not automatically mean the entire system must be replaced. Batteries, initiating devices, notification appliances, wiring, communicators and isolated circuit problems may be repairable.
Replacement or phased modernization may be appropriate when a panel is obsolete, parts are unavailable, repeated failures affect reliability, existing capacity is insufficient or a renovation changes the approved system requirements.
Communicator upgrades and monitoring takeovers
Many serviceable fire alarm systems can be retained while an obsolete telephone-line communicator is replaced with an approved cellular, IP or dual-path solution. A takeover review typically includes the panel model, communication paths, account programming, emergency contacts, signal testing and available documentation.
Monitoring does not replace required inspection, testing, maintenance, permits or deficiency correction.
Permits, plans and AHJ coordination
Commercial fire alarm requirements depend on the property, occupancy, adopted codes, approved plans and the Authority Having Jurisdiction. The final design, device layout, calculations, interfaces, documentation and acceptance process must follow the approved project requirements.
For Austin projects, permitting and plan review are separate from inspection-report submission through BRYCER/The Compliance Engine. We can help identify the correct path for new work, rejected plans, unresolved deficiencies, missing reports or incorrect property records.
What to provide before the visit
- Property address, occupancy and on-site contact.
- Photos of the fire alarm panel, annunciator and current display.
- Recent inspection, deficiency or fire-marshal reports.
- Approved drawings or permit records when available.
- Current monitoring provider and communicator information.
- A description of renovations, recurring troubles or failed devices.

- Review the request, available documents and system information.
- Visit the property when the condition cannot be confirmed remotely.
- Separate monitoring, inspection, repair, permitting and replacement scopes.
- Provide a written proposal with equipment, labor and recurring charges identified.
- Complete testing, documentation and AHJ coordination required by the approved scope.
