A reliable automated gate is a complete moving system—not just an operator. The gate, track, rollers, chain, physical stops, electrical supply, access controls, vehicle detection and entrapment-protection devices all must work together.
LiftMaster CSL24UL commercial slide-gate operator
The CSL24UL is a 24VDC high-traffic commercial slide-gate operator. LiftMaster rates it for gates up to 50 feet long and 1,500 pounds, subject to the manufacturer's application and installation requirements. It also supports integration with compatible LiftMaster access-control technology.
The CSL24UL is a strong option for many commercial projects, but it is not automatically the correct operator for every gate. Final selection depends on gate weight, length, duty cycle, mechanical condition, site layout, power, emergency access and required safety devices.

Gate safety and entrapment protection
Automated vehicular gates can cause serious injury or property damage when the gate or safety system is defective. LiftMaster's UL 325 guidance calls for two independent entrapment-protection methods at each entrapment zone; the operator's inherent reversing system can count as one method when permitted by the listed design.
- Monitored photo eyes and edges must be selected and installed for the actual hazard areas.
- Pedestrian access should be provided separately from the vehicular gate.
- Physical guards may be needed around exposed rollers, openings or pinch points.
- Emergency access and fire-department requirements must be coordinated with the AHJ.
- Safety devices must be tested after installation and during service.
We design the project around the operator instructions, applicable UL 325 requirements, ASTM F2200 guidance and local requirements. A replacement operator will not correct a gate that binds, drags, lacks proper stops or is otherwise mechanically unsafe.

Mechanical condition

Access-control integration
A gate operator controls movement; the access-control system decides who may enter. We can integrate supported card readers, mobile credentials, fobs, keypads, telephone entry, video intercoms and management platforms while preserving the operator's safety functions.
Exit loops and safety loops serve different purposes. Vehicle detection must be designed for the intended workflow and must not be used to bypass required entrapment protection.

Pricing and service
Gate-operator pricing is site-specific. The final proposal depends on the operator model, mechanical condition, power, concrete or mounting work, conduit, monitored safety devices, vehicle loops and access-control equipment. We removed blanket starting-price language because it can be misleading before the gate is evaluated.
New clients considering a new or replacement gate system can receive an on-site visit and up to one hour of initial consultation at no cost. Existing-operator troubleshooting and repair are billable; our standard existing-system site visit is $195 where applicable, with technical labor and parts quoted according to the work required.
